STP T12 5 YPV surge arresters are a range of devices for installation in electrical distribution boards dedicated to photovoltaic systems on the DC supply side. Combined surge arresters type 1+2 / class I+II, 3-pole, designed to discharge lightning currents (10/350 µs) and protect against induced overvoltage (8/20 µs), compliant with IEC 61643-31 and EN 50539-11.
The STP T12 5 YPV arrester uses a thermodynamic disconnection system, eliminating the need for additional backup protection – high resistance to short-circuit currents. Ideal for use with any PV generator, especially where an external lightning protection system is present. DIN rail mounting.
