The STP T12 40 5Y2PVM surge arresters are a group of devices for installation in standard electrical distribution boards, dedicated for use with photovoltaic installations on the DC supply side. These five-pole surge arresters are specifically designed for PV systems with two MPPTs for DC voltages up to 1000 V and for combining multiple strings.
The task of the STP 5Y2PVM Type 1+2/Class I+II, 5-pole surge arresters is to protect against the effects of direct lightning currents (10/350μs) and induced transient overvoltages (8/20μs). Fully compliant with IEC 61643-31 and EN 50539-11 standards.
The STP T12 40 5Y2PVM surge arresters use a thermodynamic disconnection system, eliminating the need for additional backup fuses thanks to their high resistance to short-circuit currents. DIN rail mounting. Ideal for building complex photovoltaic systems, especially in buildings equipped with a lightning protection system.
