Tigo TS4-X-O is an MLPE power optimizer designed for modern high-power photovoltaic modules. It supports modules up to 800 W, with a short-circuit current of up to 25 A Isc and an operating current of up to 20 A Imp, making it suitable for high-current and bifacial PV modules.

The device combines three key functions: power optimization, module-level monitoring and rapid shutdown. Power optimization helps reduce the impact of shading, soiling, uneven module ageing and other mismatch factors on the performance of the entire PV string. By operating at module level, each panel can be managed independently of the other modules in the string.

TS4-X-O is compatible with a wide range of inverters and forms part of the open Tigo Flex MLPE ecosystem. Module-level monitoring enables real-time tracking of energy production, voltage, current and other operating parameters via the Tigo Energy Intelligence platform.

The integrated Rapid Shutdown function enables fast voltage reduction at module level, increasing installation safety during maintenance and emergency situations. The TS4-X series also supports the optional Multi-Factor Rapid Shutdown (MFRS) function, providing an additional level of safety in demanding installations.

What is required for Tigo TS4-X-O monitoring?

To use module-level monitoring, the following Tigo communication components are required:

• Tigo Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA) – central data gateway,
• Tigo Access Point (TAP) – module communicating wirelessly with TS4 optimizers,
• Tigo Energy Intelligence – platform for monitoring and analysing system performance.

CCA communicates with TAP via RS485, while TAP exchanges data wirelessly with the TS4 devices. This allows the user to monitor the operating parameters of each photovoltaic module individually.
