The energy storage system SOFAR PowerAll ESI 12K-T1 + BTS E5-DS5 battery is a three-phase hybrid system (all-in-one ESS) that combines a 5 kW inverter with a modular high-voltage LFP battery. Thanks to 3 MPPTs (with AFCI) and built-in EMS, the system helps maximise PV self-consumption and enables operation in backup mode (switching time approx. 10 ms). The kit is scalable — you can start with 1 module and expand the capacity up to 6 modules (approx. 5.12–30.72 kWh). The BTS E5-DS5 battery module itself provides 5.12 kWh of energy (approx. 4.75 kWh usable).

The SOFAR PowerAll ESI 12K-T1 + BTS E5-DS5 kit helps you make the most of your PV energy and increase self-consumption. Instead of exporting surplus to the grid, you can store it in the battery and use it when PV generation drops (in the evening, at night, or during cloudy weather).

CHARGE THE BATTERIES WHEN ELECTRICITY IS CHEAPEST

The inverter offers a Time-of-use mode, where you set a schedule (hours and days of the week) and can command charging/discharging at a defined power level and target SOC — e.g. charging during selected off-peak hours. This requires selecting the appropriate inverter operating mode.

POWER SUPPLY SECURITY (BACKUP)

In the event of a grid outage, the system can automatically switch to BACKUP mode and supply power to selected circuits (critical loads), with a switching time of < 10 ms (default).

SCALABILITY

The storage capacity can be easily expanded by adding battery modules — from 1 to 6 BTS 5K modules, providing a total of 5.12–30.72 kWh of energy in a single system.
