CBS5000-BMU is a high-voltage battery module from Sofar Solar, designed as a core component of scalable energy storage systems for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment. The module uses safe and stable LiFePO4 technology, ensuring long service life, high efficiency, and resistance to intensive cyclic operation.

A single module provides an energy capacity of 5.12 kWh at a nominal voltage of 51.2 V DC and a capacity of 100 Ah. The stackable design allows quick installation of additional modules without manual cabling between units, significantly reducing installation time and minimizing the risk of assembly errors.

The module features a protection rating of IP66, allowing operation in harsh environmental conditions, including outdoor applications. The wide operating temperature range from -20°C to +50°C makes the CBS5000-BMU well suited for industrial installations, warehouses, and infrastructure facilities.

CBS5000-BMU is designed to operate in conjunction with the CBS5000-BCU control unit, which manages the entire battery stack and communicates with the Sofar hybrid inverter.

The Sofar CBS5000 energy storage system combines the CBS5000-BMU battery module with a capacity of 5.12 kWh and the CBS5000-BCU control unit, creating a scalable high-voltage energy storage solution for commercial and industrial applications. The solution is based on safe LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) technology, ensuring long service life, high efficiency, and stable operation across a wide temperature range.

The built-in optimizer and active energy equalization between modules ensure better utilization of the overall system capacity. The integrated heater enables safe charging at low temperatures, while the IP66 protection rating and intelligent air cooling increase reliability and resistance to environmental conditions. Communication via CAN enables seamless integration with the latest generation of Sofar hybrid inverters, including the HYD series designed for commercial applications.

The CBS5000 solution is designed as a complete, scalable energy storage platform – ideal for cooperation with PV installations in industrial halls, commercial buildings, and C&I (Commercial & Industrial) projects where efficient energy management, peak shaving, price arbitrage, or increased self-consumption of renewable energy is required.
