LKD 15 PRO dynamic compensator is an advanced power electronics device designed for fast and stepless compensation of inductive and capacitive reactive power. The model provides a compensation capacity of up to ±15 kVar and enables independent compensation in each phase.

The device uses a four-leg topology and low-loss SiC MOSFET transistors. This design enables load balancing between phases and reduction of the current flowing in the neutral conductor. LKD 15 PRO can simultaneously compensate reactive power, reduce selected harmonics and improve the operating conditions of the electrical installation.

Digital current and voltage measurement enables precise compensation control even at low load values. The compensation efficiency is at least 99.5%, while the regulation time is less than 20 ms, making the device suitable for installations with rapidly changing loads.

Dynamic reactive power compensation

LKD 15 PRO continuously measures grid parameters and adjusts the compensation level to the current load. Unlike traditional systems using step-switched capacitors or reactors, regulation is smooth and stepless. This makes it possible to respond effectively to rapid changes in power consumption and reduce unwanted reactive power flow.

The device can compensate both inductive and capacitive reactive power, making it suitable for installations in which the load characteristics change over time. The power factor regulation range is from -1 to 1.

Improved power quality

In addition to reactive power compensation, LKD 15 PRO enables load balancing and compensation of higher-order harmonics up to the 25th order. These functions help reduce distortion power, relieve electrical installation components and improve power quality in the facility.

The four-leg design also enables the device to influence the current in the neutral conductor, which is particularly important in networks with unbalanced single-phase loads and devices generating higher-order harmonics.
