Cloud Connect is a data logger and communication hub of the Tigo intelligent platform. Through the Tigo cloud, it ensures safety and enables module-level monitoring of PV systems. It also acts as a data logger for Modbus-enabled devices such as AC meters, weather stations, and selected inverters. Key benefits of Cloud Connect include built-in Wi-Fi, a free iOS/Android app for monitoring and commissioning, and easy DIN rail mounting.

Internet connection can be established via Ethernet port or the built-in Wi-Fi card. Power supply is provided via a DIN rail-mounted power supply or a wall socket. If required, an external safety switch can be connected. If Cloud Connect is installed inside a metal enclosure, the Wi-Fi antenna should be mounted outside.

Tigo communication gateway provides reliable wireless communication at 2.4 GHz with each Tigo optimizer installed under the PV module. To monitor the entire system, the installation of a Tigo gateway is required. To extend system coverage, additional gateways should be installed and connected via the RS485 interface.

RS485 connection between gateways and Cloud Connect is recommended using a 2-pair twisted cable with UV-resistant insulation. The Tigo gateway should be installed in the middle of the PV array – under the module or on the mounting structure.
